Early Education Professional Development
The Lowrie Center is pleased to announce the completion of Dr. Uecker’s trilogy of early childhood professional development books:
- Distinctively Christian: A Christ-centered Approach to Early Childhood Spiritual Development
- Distinctively Christian: A Christ-centered Approach to Early Childhood Philosophy and Principles
- Distinctively Christian: A Christ-centered Approach to Early Childhood Teaching and Learning
These newly released books, published by and available from Wheaton Press (www.wheatonpress.com), provide a comprehensive overview of what it means to have an early childhood program that is centered upon not only laying the academic, social and physical foundations related to later learning, but also the foundation for a Christ-centered worldview. Dr. Uecker, director of the Lowrie Center, served as author of the first book and general editor of books two and three. His team of contributors have written chapters centered on their professional expertise and life long learning within Christians schools and as professors within higher education classrooms.
Consider “zooming in” and create a summer virtual online book club in preparation for the fall semester. For ideas contact the Lowrie Center to either create or be in contract with an upcoming club.
